It been mention on other sites that Argyle are joining the Central Reserve league and playing on Wednesday at Home Park. This goes against DM in a report published in March.

DEREK ADAMS sees no prospect of Plymouth Argyle taking part in a reserve team competition in the near future.

Instead, Adams believes the Pilgrims will have to continue to use the South West Peninsula League for the development of young up-and-coming players and for professionals to get game-time.

There is a reserve team competition – The Central League – but Argyle have not entered that.

The South West Division features five clubs this season – Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham Town, Exeter City, Newport County and Swindon Town.

Anyone heard this news?
