- SCOTTISH Under-21 midfielder Jamie Ness has become Pilgrims’ manager Derek Adams latest summer acquisition.
Jamie, 26, from Irvine on the Ayrshire coast, comes to Home Park following his release by Scunthorpe United at the end of last season. He made 39 Sky Bet League One appearances for the Iron in two seasons after joining them on a free transfer from Premier League Stoke City. Jamie began his career at Rangers as a teenager and graduated to the professional ranks in 2010 at the same time as former Home Park favourite Gregg Wylde. He made 18 appearances for the Ibrox side, scoring twice – with his first goal in senior football coming in an Auld Firm game – and winning the Scottish Premier League in 2010-11. He also played twice for Scotland’s Under-21 side. When Rangers entered liquidation proceedings, Jamie transferred to the Potteries. However, he suffered an injury in his first game for Stoke in the opening weeks of the 2012-13 campaign and did not play again for 17 months, when he went out on loan to League One Leyton Orient for the second half of the 2013-14 season. He also spent the whole of the subsequent campaign in League One, on loan to Crewe Alexandra, where he scored twice in 36 matches, before being released by Stoke and joining Scunthorpe. |

| He has found the net five times in array of games. Can't judge until seen him in action, not a friendly so much, but a hard fought League One game. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| So he's had 1 major injury (out for 17 months) but was playing in the SPL for Rangers before they went belly-up. DA will sort him! We've now signed 2 new midfielders - wonder what happens next? |

| Buy em in Poundland just in case you've forgotten... got promoted last year.....now if we had a proper team we could of won the Premiership, the World Series, the Calcutta Cup, The Derby, Grand National, Henley Regatta, Doddled the yachting and have a space station on the moon by now.....but of course it would be all for nothing....because James Brent would of been the boss and that means we cannot recognize any success at PAFC while he is still in charge......can't you see the majority of the Green Army are not even bothering to laugh at you anymore....maybe feel sorry for you,,,,,just a little maybe.
It's not as if we can down grade to the 99p shop anymore....Poundland bought them out....oh dear what can we do.....maybe go and support someone else...but you'd start nit picking there as well wouldn't you.....take up tiddly winks or hop scotch or whatever you want....but don't judge Derek Adams team even before they've pulled a shirt on.....rant over. |

No need to rant....what we're seeing again with Brent is the total sum of what he's ever prepared to do. It doesn't get any better than this under this guy..... If by some miracle over the next 2-3 seasons we get promoted, we will get the same approach again which sooner or later will implode. If Adams had gone last week we would have been nailed on for relegation this season coming. Very fragile existance with zero end game |

| Personally am reserving my judgement on any of the signings because Adams has a fairly good track record at bringing in players on frees or low prices who have performed well (excepting Goodwille obviously). Also Adams didn't mess around clearing out last seasons squad which is a positive sign of intent. I have sufficient trust in the current coaching team to keep an open mind that Adams and in particular Brewster are confident and experienced enough to bring on players like this. The responses from some posters on here is quite emotive re signings which I understand given Brents utterly inept management of the club. But clearly Adams budget is limited, and he and his scouts and the Brew are having to trawl through the Scottish ranks again using their extensive network of contacts. This as we all know is the effect of Brent's continuing lack of investment in the club. ADAMS IN BRENT OUT |

| I shall reserve the right to have a rant everytime absurd Poundland gibes are given at a promotion winning squad....remember we had two years of Poundland Graham Carey....who is fully in his rights to move on like any other player once he has fulfilled his contract. |
