RIP, Pete. Thoughts and prayers go out to all his family at this difficult time.

I met pete once at the james brent q and a like many from here did. A true gent who always listened to everyones opionon. Pete will be very much missed by us all.

This is very sad news indeed. Will miss him on here. Let's hope Argo get a win in his honour tomorrow. RIP Pete.

Very sad news, only knew Pete by the word game and always thought his posts were always factual, sad loss and please pass on my sincere condolences to his family.

Ah dang. Pete was one of life's good ones fore fookin shore. Was his name actually Pete? I will forever associate Pepsi with him and his little signature, especially at Spoons where you ask fer a rum and coke and they go "is Pepsi ok", every time.. I used to enjoy winding him up, not in a mean way, but in a "wtf is this nut messaging me about kind of way", but he took the weirder stuff in the spirit intended. Bless him. We should retire a number for him like football clubs sometimes do.

Very sad news, never had any sort of arguments or bad words with Pete- he was a reliable lynchpin of the old Argyle Talk as well as this site. Due sympathy and condolences to his family and friends.

Just caught up with this and although we all knew he had struggled with his health in recent years it's still a shock when such a constant, supportive genuinely nice fella passes. RIP big chap, sincere condolences to all your family and friends.

Such sad news. Pete always came across as a reasonable and kind chap, judging from his posts on here and was obviously much loved. Thoughts for his family at this sad time. RIP.

Just seen this, very sad news. RIP Pete, thoughts with family.

Perhaps the forecasting league can be renamed as "The PepsiPete Forecasting League " and be in memory of him. He ran the league before I did and it would be a nice touch to have him remembered this way.

Evening chaps, we have raised more than £100 so far and Rebecca, Pete's daughter has told us that Pete is to be buried with his daughter, deceased at three from Leukaemia so we propose to make a donation to Bloodwise, via Coop Funeral Care in Ivybridge as we'll as a floral tribute.
Still no date set.
