Just saw that thread. It's a bit like North Korean sychophants competing with each other to heap the most praise on Kim Jong Un in the hope of not being the next one executed. They can't really believe all what they're saying.

And when he hasn't given Del Bhey increased funds due to our promotion to build a squad capable of staying up first and foremost next season and tries the cheap skate tactics he has used in league 2 which wont work in League one they still wont see him for what he is sadly.

Brent employed Sheridan.
Brent employed Adams.
For his 6 years as owner they're the only 2 things worth shouting about.

We haven't even been promoted yet though. Can they not even wait until we are over the line before unleashing the nauseating sycophancy? Even then its a case of getting a job done at least 4 years overdue, its not a cause for dancing in the streets.

That thread is really one of the worst ever seen on that 'vile' website. As soon as some balance is offered by more 'sensible' posters, they're immediately rounded on.

Also Nool is still blaming British Land and the Bus Station development for the failure of the mini stand. Unbelievable that people can be so wrong all of the time.

Brighton went from the brink to the Championship in 5 years - and now have a 30K stadium to boot and almost certain to be a prem club next season. Now that is progress.

I've said this before but it was only a matter of time before we were promoted from League 2. Just like it is that Pompey and Luton will go up one day. Just like Bristol Rovers did last year. It's not so much a prophesy as a fact awaiting confirmation.

It takes a very special brand of bad luck, under-investment, bad decision making, incompetence and negligence for those teams not to emerge triumphant when competing against teams such as Accrington, Cheltenham, Stevenage, Hartlepool, Newport etc.

So fantastic as our looming promotion is, we all like a good celebratory party after all, it isn't all that. In fact achievement-wise the real question is why it has taken so long?

Blaming Brent for us arriving in League 2 is plain silly but not blaming him for the 6 years it has taken us to escape is equally daft.

Portsmouth will follow Brighton shortly.

I expect Brent to try and capitalise on the "euphoria bus ride" that is bound to take place. Wonder who will raffle/take places on the open top.  
Hopefully the council are now well versed in the banker's bull looking for inappropriate fag packet permissions, that result in nothing more than an uplifted asset in his books with little investment. I expect the pavillions boulevard to be linked in some way in his head. Now or never for Brent and his "Plymouth "taking from putting something back into the community". Surely the council know the shape of the animal by now. If they fall for it, they will only have themselves to blame. Who can forget the last  " money is now coming out of London" routine.
Next season will hang on whether Adams  twigs what Holloway did a few years back and understands the property first mantra of PAFC, and decides to put out feelers. He's a strange one though who is hard to read, so anything is possible, including taking up residence in Smeaton's Tower.

What Brent has been world class at is managing the decline of supporters expectations. All we hear now are reasons why we cannot achieve anything and why we shouldn't even try. Why bother trying to build a new grandstand when new carpets and a lick of paint will suffice?

Largest city anywhere in Europe not to have played premiership football, however the attitude in Plymouth has always been don't try anything in case we fail and LOOK WHAT HAPPENED LAST TIME! The bulk of the hardcore support actively don't want top flight football anyway as all it will do is encourage the plaaastics to come
