Pretty slow start from England but they ground out the win, hopefully they will inprove and what with Scotlands upset, the grand slam is surely on.

France will wonder how they let that slip but they will come again, they are a very good side and Picamoles certainly didn't deserve to be on the losing side. Lack of discipline, failure to take their chances and an iffy ref performance cost them in the end

It will be very hard for any Nation to do the grand slam this season.

The weekend winners have got some tough away games.

England away to Wales and Ireland.
Wales away to France.
Scotland away to France.

Not to many easy games....Italy look to be the only side most would expect to beat....even they looked quite good against Wales until they ran out of steam in the second half.

Not convinced by England but the tactical changes made eventually dealt with the sheer weight and power of France that was causing all the problems. Difficult one to call this year.

Once the Vunipola brothers are back it will make a huge difference, at full strength England are as good as they have been since 2003. Can't write the Irish off as it wasn't that long ago they beat the All Blacks

Shame that Kruis is out for the six nations. I think that will be the end of his chances to be on the Lions tour. It clears the way for Alun Wyn Jones to be selected as captain. I would like to see Gatland take a chance with a form player as captain - Conor Murray or Billy Vunipola would be my "bolters".

Is it possible this year with the new bonus point scoring system, for England to do the grand slam....but not win the Championship.....surely that isn't possible is it ?
