No wonder he's Angry. Since when did maybe being pissed off with you - because of being lectured at all the time by a sanctimonious know it all - become a "sad, empty, compassionless and lacking in empathy world?" No doubt we've got pages of your mundane drivel to look forward to on the subject. God give us strength. |

God give us strength. Even paedophillia is a vehicle you're happy to use to continue this senseless vendetta? |

| Not at all..
You seem to have no problem using it to give us 'The world according to SFD' and slagging off Angry.
Anyway... Undemocratic!
Yes or no?
If you want to talk about something senseless - how about the charade you continue in not answering a simple question? |

| Without knowing anything about the cases involved, just put yourselves in a position of a young boy in the 70's who's attached to a football club and whose dream is to play professional football. The football coach is the mentor, the surrogate parent, the guy who hold the future of young boys in his hands. That guy also happens to be a pervert who abuses young boys, and uses his position of trust to satiate his foul needs.
What does the kid do? Say no and he's out of the football club. Say yes and he has a career but at what cost to himself. Report his coach and who would believe him? - it was a different world back then.
The kids must have been in a terrible position and those posters on here who feel it's right to criticise them for now telling the world of their shame need to have a long hard look at themselves.
On a different note, given the recent outing of these perverts in many different areas of public life, it's quite surprising that football, and sport in general, has not been involved - until now of course. |

| All elections in this country are undemocratic, the majority stay home. You should not be elected with less than 50% of the electorate. Make voting compulsory as in Australia. |

| A serious question? Yeah I know but ....... Many footballers help out with coaching in the community or in schools. Some are probably affiliated to youth clubs or youth footy. I wonder how many are put through a DBS enhanced check? |

| Anybody coming into contact with schoolkids is CRB checked so as far as schools are concerned: all of them.
Anybody coaching under any sort of official FA cheme will also be CRB checked. I suspect it is the same in all other organisations now.
But this sort of "red tape" didn't exist 20 years ago when many of the instances of abuse were said to have occurred. |
