ARGYLE will play Newport County in the second round of the Emirates FA Cup.
The Exiles beat Alfreton 4-1 after extra time on Tuesday night, as the two replayed from their draw ten days previously. The game on Tuesday ended 1-1, but the Sky Bet League Two side eased away from their Vanarama National League North opponents in the extra half an hour.

Argyle v Newport will take place on Saturday, December 3. We hope to be able to announce ticket details very shortly.

TUESDAY’S FA Cup win over Alfreton Town earned Newport County AFC £18,000 and part of that money will be put to immediate use to give the Exiles the best chance of winning at Notts County on Saturday.

Manager Graham Westley revealed last week that the £10,000 EFL Trophy prize money would go towards vital training ground equipment.
